Brenda Bailey, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation, and Kelli Paddon, Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity, have released the following statement in recognition of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science:

As the Province approaches the one-year anniversary of launching a transformational Longitudinal Family Practice Payment Model in B.C., more people have access to primary care with 4,000 family physicians registered for the model in its first year helping expand the number of family physicians working in longitudinal primary care.

More B.C. businesses will be able to diversify markets for their world-class goods and create sustainable jobs for people with access to tools, resources and training through the creation of a new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Centre of Excellence.

To better protect youth from nicotine use and potential dependency, the Province is taking action to restrict buccal nicotine-pouch products to be sold only by a pharmacist on a non-prescription basis.
