The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has awarded a contract to Alpine Paving Ltd. for $838,000 to construct a new left turning lane on the Sea to Sky Highway at the entrance to the Whistler Heliport.

As crisp fall days are upon us, Whistler is still attracting thousands of visitors thanks to a range of events and improvements to the resort which have been completed recently and will be finished over the next few months.

The IRONMAN Whistler/Pemberton Triathlon will take place on Sunday, July 24, 2016. To ensure safety, travellers are advised to expect delays and closures on Highway 99 between Whistler and Pemberton from 7 a.m. until approximately 5:30 p.m. Additional closures will be in effect on Callaghan Valley Road and Pemberton Meadows Road during the event.
