Six central First Nations communities are receiving $1.15 million for clean energy projects as part of a funding partnership between the Province of British Columbia, Government of Canada and New Relationship Trust.

The remote Xeni Gwet’in First Nation community in the Chilcotin is continuing the transition from diesel to clean energy and creating local jobs under the Province’s CleanBC plan.

Mine rescue teams from around British Columbia came together this past weekend to compete in the 64th annual Provincial Mine Rescue and First Aid Competition.

The approval of the long-term water management plan for Mount Polley means the mine can continue to operate providing 350 well-paying jobs in the region.

British Columbians are invited to comment on Mount Polley Mining Corporation’s (MPMC) plans for long-term water management of the site.
