Evergreen Line construction crews pushed an enormous concrete box under the Barnet Highway and reopened the road to traffic eight hours ahead of schedule over the long weekend.

Some drivers continue to text at the wheel, despite a B.C. law that has banned the use of personal electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle since Jan. 1, 2010.

Travellers are advised the East Canoe Forest Service Road located in the Kinbasket Reservoir area will be closed until further notice at the 27-kilometre marker starting Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.
