More young people with barriers to employment or education will have access to Foundry’s expanded employment program.

With warmer temperatures on the way and weather experts forecasting a hot summer, the Province and public-health officials are taking several steps to help people stay safe this summer and are asking people to plan ahead.

Young people experiencing homelessness in Vancouver and struggling with mental-health and addictions challenges will get better access to care and supports to help them find a pathway to recovery and a better life. 

More young people will have better access to vital health-care services closer to home, such as primary care, counselling, early intervention, prevention and addictions supports, with 10 new Foundry centres throughout the province.

People in B.C. will have improved access to cervical cancer screening as a provincewide cervix self-screening program launches, including the option to screen at home, a first in Canada.

Men who have experienced repeated incarceration, housing instability and addiction can find the integrated help they need to live healthier and more fulfilling lives at New Roads Therapeutic Recovery Community in Victoria.
