People will be safer on B.C.’s roads with another round of support for 56 more communities that will further help prevent serious injuries and deaths.

People in communities throughout B.C. will benefit from additional investments toward safer roads through a second year of Vision Zero grants.

People in rural, remote and Indigenous communities will benefit from safer roads through the Province’s Vision Zero grant program.

From Keremeos to Elkford, 10 communities in the Interior of B.C. are receiving age-friendly grants to support seniors so they can live active, socially engaged and independent lives.

From Cache Creek to Trail, 14 communities in the Interior are receiving age-friendly grants to support British Columbia seniors, so they can live active, safe, socially engaged and independent lives.

Driving Miss Sayward, a fitness park for seniors and new dementia resources are some of the projects that will soon be underway as 28 B.C. communities receive age-friendly community planning and project grants totalling $496,165.

Helping seniors remain safe, active and independent is garnering honours for 11 communities around British Columbia, Health Minister Terry Lake announced.
