The B.C. government and Tahltan Nation have signed a land-use plan that advances reconciliation and embraces the Klappan Valley’s significant social, cultural, environmental and economic values.

This month, eligible First Nations in B.C. will start signing up to receive their share of new revenue that will support self-government and self-determination, strong, healthy communities and services that make life better for families.

The Government of Canada, the Government of British Columbia and Ditidaht and Pacheedaht First Nations have taken a significant step to move forward together with reconciliation, to begin to address the wrongs of the past and build a new relationship based on recognition of rights, co-operation, respect and partnership.
