One eastbound lane and both westbound lanes on Highway 1 in Abbotsford are now open. The single eastbound lane between Highway 11 and No. 3 Road opened this morning, Dec. 14, 2025. The two westbound lanes opened on the evening of Dec. 13, 2025.

Drivers traveling westbound through the Abbotsford area can now remain on Highway 1, avoiding a detour via Highway 7.

Drivers are advised that Highway 7 is experiencing extreme traffic congestion between Mission and Agassiz due to closures of surrounding roadways due to flooding.

The Ministry of Transportation and Transit has closed major highways between the Lower Mainland and the Interior due to flooding, falling rock and debris, and high avalanche hazards.

The Ministry of Transportation and Transit has issued a travel advisory for areas in the Fraser Valley where there is a risk of flooding. People are asked to avoid travel unless necessary until the heavy rainfall passes and water levels subside.

Drivers are advised to plan for overnight detours along Highway 1 at the 264th Street interchange as work advances on the project.

Drivers travelling on Highway 7B are advised to expect minor delays as work begins on the Coquitlam River Bridge upgrade project, starting Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025.

Drivers are advised that Highway 99 will be briefly closed on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, between Alta Lake Road and Taylor Way to allow for municipal rock-stabilization work on a roadside slope.
