Members of the public, communities, governments, industry and stakeholders are invited to provide their input on the process to amend the Fort St. John Land and Resource Management Plan.

The Province is taking action to restore and recover portions of Elephant Hill and Allie Lake that were severely affected by wildfires in 2017 and 2018.

The Government of British Columbia and Blueberry River First Nations have agreed to further adjourn pending litigation until April 29, 2019, to allow for continued collaboration on addressing the effects of resource development in Blueberry River territory. 

An additional 980.5 hectares of the Coastal Douglas-fir ecosystem has been protected in 19 land parcels near the communities of Bowser, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay and Cedar on Vancouver Island, and on Galiano and Salt Spring islands.

The Province, in partnership with Lil’wat Nation and Coast to Cascades Grizzly Bear Initiative, is taking action to protect grizzly bears by closing two resource roads in the Upper Lillooet and Birkenhead River areas.
