The Province, TransLink and municipal funding partners have selected Mott MacDonald Ltd. to study the technical feasibility of a potential high-capacity transit crossing from the Burrard Inlet to the North Shore. 

Premier John Horgan has appointed Sheila Malcolmson, MLA for Nanaimo, to the role of parliamentary secretary for environment. Premier Horgan has also made changes to the responsibilities of parliamentary secretaries for the Government of British Columbia.

Two new directors have been appointed to the BC Ferry Authority board, increasing the number of government appointees on the board from two to four, and replacing two community-at-large members.

Work to develop options for a long-term solution for the George Massey Crossing is underway and a request for proposals will be posted on BC Bid in the coming days to identify a technical team to support this phase.
