Forty new safe, warm beds are now available for people experiencing homelessness in West Kelowna this winter through a partnership between BC Housing, the city and the West Kelowna Shelter Society. 

New affordable townhomes for single mothers and their children are now open in New Westminster, thanks to funding from the Province and support from the City of New Westminster.

The Province is partnering with the Aboriginal Housing Society of Prince George to purchase a six-unit apartment complex, preserving rental housing and providing affordable options for Indigenous peoples in the community.

The Province and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) are collaborating on a unique partnership to provide temporary housing near medical facilities for those who are travelling from remote communities.

Small businesses, non-profits and arts and culture organizations paying high property taxes through their commercial leases will be able to get relief through interim business property tax relief legislation that is under development.

Delivering on its commitment to enhance access to justice for British Columbians, the Government of B.C. has provided a $250,000 grant to establish a new legal clinic at the Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society.
