Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.s provincial health officer (PHO), has released her report entitled Stopping the Harm: Decriminalization of People Who Use Drugs in BC, as part of an effort to mitigate the provincial overdose crisis.

Premier Christy Clark and Minister of Health, Terry Lake lead a delegation of medical experts and people personally affected by overdoses to Ottawa to speak to the federal government about a coordinated approach to reducing opioid overdose deaths.

Health Minister Terry Lake recently toured several health care facilities in the Interior Health region, including the Penticton Regional Hospital, Royal Inland Hospital, Shuswap Lake General Hospital and Kelowna General Hospital.
