Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Minister Steve Thomson has announced $10,000 for the Lillooet Regional Invasive Species Society to help reduce the spread and impact of invasive plants on Crown land.

The Province is sending fire-fighting resources to Boise, Idaho and Missoula, Montana. Two airtankers, one birddog, and one air attack officer left for Boise, Idaho to assist local crews in their fire-fighting efforts. They are expected to help combat a number of fires that are currently burning in the state.

The Province has introduced improved seismic standards for new and existing high risk dikes, announced Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Minister Steve Thomson.
