Currently it's an underutilized seniors housing site in need of repair and upgrades. But thanks in part to more than $47,000 from the Brownfield Renewal Funding Program, this site will soon be an up-to-date seniors social housing development for Chilliwack.

Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Minister Steve Thomson is asking the public to exercise caution with any outdoor burning activities within the Coastal Fire Centre.

Over the past week the Prince George Fire Centre has responded to seven new forest fires all caused by human activity. Six of these fires have been extinguished and the seventh is being patrolled to ensure it does not flare up again. All fires were human caused, therefore all were preventable.
