Comments are being accepted until May 24, 2016, on a discussion paper released today as part of a comprehensive timber supply review for the Prince George Timber Supply Area.

FrontCounter BC offers individuals and businesses assistance with an estimated 100 applications administered by the province’s natural resource ministries.

Effective at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, open burning will once again be permitted throughout the Prince George Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.

The campfire ban remains in effect throughout the Prince George Fire centre. This does not apply to cooking stoves that use gas, propane or briquettes.

The Province is investing $100,000 over the next five years to enhance wildlife conservation throughout British Columbia.

Smoke may be visible in parts of the Fort Nelson and Peace regions over the next week as prescribed burning continues in those areas.

A series of prescribed burns is planned for the Bevel Creek, Ospika River, Tobin Lake and Mt. Moodie areas in the Mackenzie Natural Resource District from May 1 to May 31, 2015, weather conditions permitting.
