The Province of British Columbia announced the B.C. Startup in Residence Pilot Program, that will enable companies to work within government to deliver innovative solutions to digital challenges.  

Following on the success of the We for She conference in Vancouver last year, Premier Christy Clark announced, on International Women’s Day, that the We for She conference will bring business leaders and young women from all across B.C. together again for an event in the fall of 2017.

The Province is investing $65,000 by supporting the annual BC Bike Race which will welcome 600 participants from 36 countries to coastal British Columbia for the annual seven-day mountain bike race tour.

The B.C. Aboriginal Business and Investment Council (ABIC) has updated its website to make it easier to do business with First Nations companies, promote economic development among Aboriginal communities, and showcase the successes of Aboriginal businesses throughout the province.

Ten mature workers in Williams Lake are receiving the training they need to re-enter the workforce, thanks to more than $86,000 from the provincial and federal governments to Horton Ventures Inc. 

Effective Feb. 1, 2017, the regulation c. 37 for the Provincial Immigration Programs Act (PIPA) will come into effect.
