The Government of British Columbia is contributing $250,000 through BC Wheelchair Sports toward developing the Paralympic component of the Richmond Olympic Experience (ROX) - an exciting new legacy of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Parent Advisory Committees (PACs) that provide support for extracurricular sports, arts, class trips and other school activities will share $11,334,300 in community gaming grants this funded by the B.C. government.

Eighteen agricultural fairs in diverse communities throughout the province and the BC Association of Agricultural Fairs and Exhibitions shared $794,000 in community gaming grants this year, funded by the Government of British Columbia.

The Government of British Columbia has provided $151,250 to fund 36 Hosting BC grants for diverse sports competitions this year and in 2015.

The Government of British Columbia approved $16.7 million in community gaming grants for arts and culture and $29.1 million for sport during 2013-14.

Every year, gaming revenues generate hundreds of millions of dollars that the Government of British Columbia invests in providing key services, including health care and education, for all citizens and communities throughout the province.

Eligible public safety non-profit organizations can apply now for a B.C. community gaming grant. The application deadline is Aug. 31, 2014.

Arts and culture organizations can now apply for funding in three project assistance program areas delivered through the BC Arts Council.
