Premier John Horgan has released the following statement in honour of B.C. Multiculturalism Week, Nov. 18-24, 2018:

The B.C. government is expanding on-campus housing by 25% at the University of Victoria (UVic), making it more affordable for students to get the education they need.

Help is on the way for middle-income families in 42 communities as the Province moves forward with more than 4,900 new affordable mixed-income rental homes as part of the Building BC: Community Housing Fund.

Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement on the occasion of Diwali, the Festival of Lights:

The Government of British Columbia is opening a new urgent primary care centre for West Shore communities to better connect local residents with the primary health care they need.

The British Columbia government is building 280 new homes to provide safe places to stay for women and children fleeing violence, the first major investment in transition housing in more than two decades.

The Government of British Columbia and the B.C. Green Party caucus have come to an agreement to ensure support of the Speculation and Vacancy Tax Act, a key piece in the government’s plan for housing affordability in B.C.
