Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, has released the following statement on the Medical Services Commission’s approval of the re-enrolment of a Beta Therapeutics family physician in the Medical Services Plan (MSP):

The Province is taking actions to ensure that diabetes patients in B.C. do not experience a shortage of the diabetes drug semaglutide (Ozempic) in an environment where surging demand in some jurisdictions is creating shortages.

The Province has provided an update about ongoing work with its partners to create a comprehensive Downtown Eastside response plan, including 330 new homes for people by the end of June.

Drivers are advised that a closure of Highway 17 in Surrey between Old Yale Road and Bridgeview Drive may be required from 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 26 until 5 a.m. on Monday, March 27 for the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project’s Highway 17 off-ramp work.

BC Transit has reached a tentative agreement with members of MoveUP Local 378 under the Province’s Shared Recovery Mandate.
