People in the Pitt Meadows area and those who rely on the Lougheed Highway for travel are invited to comment on a conceptual design for improvements to the intersection at Highway 7 and Harris Road.
Harris Road is an important north-south route for people in Pitt Meadows, while the Lougheed Highway is a key regional trade and commuter corridor. The conceptual design for intersection upgrades will improve safety by reducing traffic congestion, improve connections within the community through transit and active transportation investments, and reduce travel times.
The public comment period runs from March 27 until April 24, 2023. People can view the concept design and provide comments at: www.gov.bc.ca/Highway7Harris
People can also attend an in-person open house to see the proposed design, ask questions and provide comments:

As planning progresses, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will continue to engage with local and Indigenous governments, as well as residents and businesses directly affected. Following this public comment period, the ministry will advance the project design for future funding consideration.
