Premier David Eby has issued the following statement acknowledging the National Day of Observance for COVID-19:

People in B.C. on the path to parenthood will soon have more supports as the Province begins work to provide better, more affordable access to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) services.

The Province has updated the Provincial Policy Manual: Transit-Oriented Areas (TOA manual) to ensure local governments are supported in delivering the housing and amenities people need in areas near transit hubs.

People will soon have better access to health-care services as planning completes for a new renal hemodialysis building at the Surrey Memorial Hospital and decanting begins for two new cardiac catheterization suites and a second interventional radiology suite, as the Province continues to fulfil its commitment to support patients and health-care providers.

Clinics that help B.C. farmers and ranchers care for their animals will have extra sets of skilled hands in their offices through a new program that covers summer placement costs for both veterinary and veterinary technologist students.
