With new funding, more people experiencing barriers to employment, such as Indigenous people, people on income assistance and those with complex needs, are training for in-demand jobs.

People adversely affected by tariffs imposed by the United States will benefit from expanded supports through two new initiatives delivered by the Province in partnership with the Government of Canada.

People facing complex barriers will have better access to employment opportunities with the launch of wraparound services that support the most vulnerable on their path to employment readiness.

More newcomers to the province will be able to find rewarding, skilled jobs in their communities through several new and innovative programs offered through the Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC).

As many as 30 people will get skills training to retrain them for jobs in the greenhouse sector as landscape and horticulture technicians.

The third intake of the Province’s Work Experience Opportunities Grant has opened to help more British Columbians move toward economic recovery, thanks to broader eligibility requirements.
