Another six communities have been approved to receive a share of approximately $3 million in provincial emergency preparedness funding to support emergency social services.

Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) application dates for the recent landslide disaster have been expanded and are now available for British Columbians in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District – including Cache Creek, Village of Ashcroft and Bonaparte Indian Band – who may have been affected by landslides that occurred from Aug. 2-12, 2018.

With the flood situation in many parts of the province beginning to stabilize, the Government of British Columbia has amended its request for federal assistance to support B.C.’s response to flooding.
