Issuance of an environmental assessment certificate to Teck Coal Limited for the Baldy Ridge extension project today means greater economic opportunity for southeast British Columbia.

Officials today unveiled the 'gas station' of the future, the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s (BCIT) Energy Oasis project, which uses the power of the sun to fuel electric vehicles.

Construction of the Site C project in northeast British Columbia reached its one-year anniversary last week. Significant construction progress has been made over the past year and the project is on track for schedule, scope and budget.
