After working in logging and construction for many years, Steve Ackles wanted something different.

Premier John Horgan and George Heyman, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, have issued the following statement to celebrate Earth Day 2022:

A B.C. environmental assessment certificate has been issued to Vopak Development Canada Inc. for the proposed Vopak Pacific Canada Project, which is on federal lands within federal jurisdiction.

To help assist with the cleanup of waterway debris caused by the atmospheric river event in November 2021, helicopter support is expected to begin as early as Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the following areas:

British Columbians are embracing zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) faster than any other jurisdiction in North America, with ZEVs representing 13% of all new light-duty vehicle sales in B.C. last year, according to the province’s 2021 Zero-Emission Vehicle Update.

B.C.’s Climate Solutions Council, which provides independent advice to government on climate programs, actions and accountability, has been renewed with the appointment of six new members.
