Young people throughout British Columbia will have an opportunity to acquire a diverse range of job skills while working in the province’s spectacular natural environment, through the new BC Parks Student Ranger Program.

Visitors will now be able to reserve campsites for the 2018 camping season in the core area of Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park (Og and Magog Lake campgrounds).

Information on BC Parks permit applications and issued permits will soon be available for everyone to view online, as part of the new public notification and engagement policy.

Visitors can soon reserve campsites throughout the year at Garibaldi Provincial Park, a popular backcountry destination for outdoor enthusiasts along the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

To improve service, the application for new park use permits through BC Parks will be going online, making it easier to access.

The Government of British Columbia is providing $25,000 to conserve historic coal mine structures in Morden Colliery Historic Provincial Park near Nanaimo.

Visitors can start planning their trips to two popular BC Parks destinations, as reservations for the world-renowned Berg Lake trail and Bowron Lake canoe circuit open soon.

Due to the current and forecasted conditions in Wells Gray Provincial Park, BC Parks and Recreation Sites and Trails BC today rescinded a closure.
