The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations plan to treat two aquatic areas in the Lower Mainland to eliminate invasive intertidal cordgrasses.

The B.C. government and the federal government are working in conjunction with local

governments, First Nations, and the volunteer sector, as members of a Tsunami Debris

Coordinating Committee.

The B.C. government accepts the recommendations contained in an audit report released today by the Office of the Auditor General titled "Audit of Biodiversity in B.C.: Assessing the Effectiveness of Key Tools".
