To support seniors in leading active and independent lives, $500,000 in grants for age-friendly assessments, planning and projects have been awarded to 25 communities in B.C., including four Indigenous communities.

Communities in British Columbia are encouraged to support seniors so they can live active and independent lives as $500,000 in a new round of age-friendly grants are available for application.

As people in B.C. continue to get vaccinated, the Province continues with previously announced plans to further lift COVID-19 restrictions, while protecting those most at risk with the launch of the spring booster vaccine program.

People and families in Victoria will soon have more access to everyday primary health-care services with the opening of the new Luther Court Community Health Centre (CHC).

The provincial health officer (PHO) has extended the PHO order on post-secondary housing COVID-19 preventive measures to ensure the continuing health and safety of post-secondary students living in residence.
