People in B.C. will be better protected against the hepatitis C virus (HCV) as the Province takes further action to accelerate the elimination of the disease and provide better supports for people living with HCV.

More people in Rutland and surrounding Kelowna neighbourhoods will soon have increased access to team-based, everyday health care with a new urgent and primary care centre (UPCC), opening in fall 2023 at 150 Hwy. 33 W.

People living in Harrison Mills and north of the Fraser River between Agassiz and Mission will have access to First Nations-led primary care with the development of the Sts’ailes Community Care Campus (SCCC) at 46090 Lougheed Hwy.

People living in Sooke and the surrounding area will benefit from a new integrated health-care centre offering team-based services in the heart of Sooke village. 

Seniors, people with complex needs and those living with mental-health and substance-use conditions now have access to more primary health-care services as the Luther Court Community Health Centre (CHC) has hired more health workers for a newly renovated space at 1525 Cedar Hill Cross Rd.

First Nations people living in Williams Lake and the surrounding communities of the Dakelh Dene, Tŝilhqot'in and Secwepemc Nations have access to culturally safe primary care with the opening of a new First Nations Wellness Centre (FNWC) on Oct. 11, 2022, at 281 1st Ave. North.
