People living in Surrey and surrounding communities will soon have improved access to cancer care with the addition of a regional cancer centre at the second Surrey hospital.

People living in Surrey will now have better access to same-day urgent and primary care with the opening of a second new urgent and primary care centre (UPCC) in Newton.

Fraser Health is purchasing two private magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) clinics to provide medically necessary exams to patients throughout the Fraser Valley.

It will be easier for Surrey residents to receive ongoing primary health care when one of 10 new urgent primary-care centres in the province opens in fall 2018, announced Premier John Horgan.

The Province is taking the first step in planning for a new hospital that would offer improved care for families living in Surrey, Health Minister Adrian Dix announced today.
