The Government of British Columbia is investing $7.7 million to promote the use of B.C. wood, advance wood building systems and products, and expand global markets.

Premier Christy Clark announced that the largest shipment of mass timber from British Columbia to India is en route.

Trade missions are an important part of British Columbia’s strategy to support economic growth and job creation throughout the province, as well as BC Jobs Plan objectives.

British Columbia’s expertise in managing forest fires has helped a B.C. company win a contract extension to train workers in fire-plagued regions of Indonesia.

The B.C. government released summaries of trade mission costs for Premier Christy Clark, ministers and their accompanying delegations for travel to Europe, the United States and Asia in 2015.
