Premier Christy Clark has issued the following statement on the death of former University of British Columbia president David Strangway:

Premier Christy Clark, MLA for Westside-Kelowna,  joined the community to celebrate the launch of Foundry Kelowna, a new integrated youth-service centre.

The Province will build on its world-renowned provincial parks system by hiring more park rangers to enhance conservation, improving services for persons with disabilities and launching a new BC Parks Foundation so community groups, businesses and individuals can come together and have a voice in BC Parks priorities.

More than 20,000 B.C. students are being rewarded for taking action in their communities with a concert they’ll never forget at the 2016 WE Day Vancouver event. The year’s line-up includes Serena Ryder, Paula Abdul and Lilly Singh among many others.

Individuals, seniors and families in need of affordable rental housing in the Greater Victoria region will soon have access to more than 500 new units of affordable housing.

Premier Christy Clark announced $100,000 in provincial funding for the Women’s Enterprise Centre (WEC) to continue and expand its mentoring programs, helping women throughout British Columbia learn indispensable business skills.
