The 10 winners of the second annual Premier’s Awards for Excellence in Education share a commitment to helping British Columbian students succeed.

As part of ongoing work to expand regional collaboration on clean energy innovation, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and B.C. Premier John Horgan announced a joint Clean Grid Initiative and Clean Grid Summit to be held in 2020.

The B.C. government has announced its vision to promote the City of Surrey as a second Lower Mainland downtown and to build an innovation corridor that will drive economic growth and create good jobs and opportunity for people in Surrey and the Fraser Valley.

Representatives from the ‘Namgis, the Kwikwasut’inuxw Haxwa’mis and Mamalilikulla First Nations, Premier John Horgan and B.C. salmon farming companies Cermaq Canada and Mowi Canada West came together on Sept. 19, 2019, to mark the progress made to protect wild salmon in the Broughton area since recommendations were delivered in December 2018. 

The provincial government has announced $69 million to fund a new series of measures aimed at supporting British Columbia forest workers impacted by mill closures and shift reductions in several B.C. Interior communities.
