Students preparing for careers in some of B.C.’s most important services have new roofs overhead and an upgraded driver training facility, after a joint Canada-B.C. investment in infrastructure at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC).

The Government of British Columbia has underscored its commitment to work with Indigenous peoples in the spirit of respect and collaboration by introducing a set of draft principles designed to guide the daily work of provincial government employees. Don Wright, head of the BC Public Service shared the draft principles with all 27,000 public service employees on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

Langara College students, staff and faculty are enjoying an improved learning and working environment after two ventilation fan upgrades, made possible through a $1.5 million investment by the federal and B.C. governments.

An additional 40 engineering diploma and certificate seats at Vancouver Island University will give more students access to the technical skills needed for good-paying jobs in the booming tech industry.

When students, faculty and staff move into the new campus for the College of New Caledonia (CNC) in Vanderhoof next year, they will benefit from a $5.2-million renovation and upgrade.
