A provincewide fire-safety campaign will help save lives and reduce fire-related injuries by educating people in British Columbia about proper smoke-alarm use and reducing fire risks in homes.

A coroner’s inquest into the death of Linden Lyle Faulkner will begin at 10 a.m. (Mountain time) – 9 a.m. (Pacific time) – on Oct. 16, 2023, at the Cranbrook Law Courts, 102 11 Ave. S.

Preliminary data released by the BC Coroners Service confirms that more than 1,600 British Columbians were lost to toxic, unregulated drugs in the first eight months of 2023.

For the 13th consecutive month, more than 190 British Columbians have lost their lives to the toxic, unregulated drug supply, according to preliminary data released by the BC Coroners Service.
