The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is looking for the public’s feedback on an upcoming project designed to reduce congestion and improve safety along the Haney Bypass in Maple Ridge.

As of Sept. 1, it is free to cross the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges.

Drivers in the Lower Mainland soon will be paying less to get around as the British Columbia government is eliminating tolls on the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges in time for the Labour Day Weekend, Premier John Horgan announced today.

As emergency officials from neighbouring Alberta prepare to remove the evacuation order and permit families to return to Fort McMurray, B.C. is lending a hand, including deployment of mental health workers to support those facing the uncertain realities of returning home to their evacuated town.
