23 communities throughout B.C. will receive more than $6.5 million in funding for 25 projects to expand and build cycling lanes, trails and paths for cyclists and pedestrians.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is starting design work on an upcoming safety improvement project in Maple Ridge, to install median barrier on a 6.6-kilometre section of Highway 7, stretching from 240th to 272nd streets.

The IRONMAN Whistler/Pemberton Triathlon will take place on Sunday, July 24, 2016. To ensure safety, travellers are advised to expect delays and closures on Highway 99 between Whistler and Pemberton from 7 a.m. until approximately 5:30 p.m. Additional closures will be in effect on Callaghan Valley Road and Pemberton Meadows Road during the event.
