Drivers are advised Highway 1 will be reduced to one lane eastbound and one lane westbound starting tonight, March 27, 2025, at Flood Hope Road in Hope (Exit 165) to address a rapidly deteriorating sinkhole across the eastbound lanes.

The replacement of Nicomen River Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway is complete.

Repairs to Highway 8 will begin soon to permanently restore the section approximately 15 kilometres east of Spences Bridge that was damaged by floods in 2021, and to enhance the highway’s climate resilience.

A key bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway at the site of a washout in the November 2021 flooding is nearing completion and has received an Indigenous name celebrating neighbouring communities in the Fraser Canyon. 

Final repairs to the flood-damaged section of Highway 11 at Willband Creek in Abbotsford will begin on Monday, April 29, 2024, and drivers are advised that traffic pattern changes will be in place throughout the project.

The Fisher Creek bridge will undergo a replacement and road improvements, offering drivers a safer, more reliable passage along the Highway 97 Pine Pass corridor.

The Province has selected four qualified teams to participate in the request for proposals (RFP) stage to design and construct permanent repairs to a section of Highway 8 approximately 15 kilometres east of Spences Bridge.

Drivers are advised that Highway 101 will be closed at Trout Lake, just east of Halfmoon Bay, on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024.
