People living in six B.C. municipalities who want to use electric kick scooters will soon be on their way, thanks to a newly approved provincial pilot project.  

A new program supporting local governments to improve their development approvals process builds on the Province’s commitment to help people and communities get the homes they need built faster. 

Building on other recovery funding, the Province is boosting local economies by investing $30 million in small-scale infrastructure projects throughout B.C. to create jobs and support recovery for people and communities affected by COVID-19.

Drivers are notified that the Keith Road underpass on Highway 1 will partially open to the public on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021.

Building on the Province’s commitment to help people and communities through the pandemic, local governments and Treaty First Nations may now apply for $100 million in grants to address the impacts of homelessness, support people and strengthen communities’ health and safety.

The Province is setting a new near-term emission target for 2025 to keep B.C. on track to reducing carbon pollution, supported by a new 2020 Climate Change Accountability Report detailing CleanBC action.
