B.A. Blacktop of North Vancouver has won this year's Deputy Minister's Contractor of the Year Award in the bridges and structures category for its work on the Marine Drive/Lions Gate Transit Priority Project.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will carry out a trial enclosure of the Pat Road pedestrian overpass with light-weight galvanized steel mesh to prevent vandals from throwing objects onto motorists on the Trans-Canada Highway below.
