Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will be seeking input from Sunshine Coast residents and other interested individuals and organizations on the potential of a highway link between the Sunshine Coast and Lower Mainland, as part of its Sunshine Coast Fixed Link Feasibility Study.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has awarded a contract to Alpine Paving Ltd. for $838,000 to construct a new left turning lane on the Sea to Sky Highway at the entrance to the Whistler Heliport.

Work will soon be underway to replace the Crassier Creek Bridge near Chetwynd.

The Government of British Columbia is providing $2.5 million to the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) to undertake debris removal and preventative work, designed to reduce flood risk in the region.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has completed work on a $1.15-million seismic retrofit and deck resurfacing project for the 15th Street overpass on Highway 1, which crosses above 15th Street in West Vancouver.
