Students throughout B.C. will soon be learning in safer, improved schools now that more funding is available to school districts.

More than 110 volunteer and composite fire departments throughout B.C. will receive their share of $6.3 million for equipment and training to bolster firefighting response to make people and communities safer.

People living in Maple Ridge with complex mental-health and substance-use challenges will have access to enhanced services as the Province adds eight complex-care housing spaces to serve the community.

People living on the Sunshine Coast with complex mental-health and substance-use challenges will have access to enhanced services as the Province adds complex-care housing services for approximately 25 people in the region.

Young people in Richmond will have access to more mental-health and substance-use services with the opening of the Foundry centre’s permanent location.

People accessing health care in the Lower Mainland, North Shore, Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky will benefit from more stable, consistent and supportive patient care as 864 environmental services and food-service workers return to the public system as Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) employees.
