The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is inviting the public to provide feedback on short-, medium- and long-term options to improve the Highway 97 corridor through Quesnel.

This year, communities throughout British Columbia will get new opportunities to make local transportation safer, greener and more affordable, thanks to enhancements made to the Province’s BikeBC and B.C. Air Access programs.

The next step to ensuring continued quality maintenance of British Columbia’s highways, roads and bridges is underway, with requests for proposals (RFPs) going out to tender this week for three of the Province’s 28 contracted service areas.

People in the Lower Mainland will soon experience reduced traffic delays thanks to six new motorist advisory signs that will be installed at key road and railway crossings in Langley, Surrey and the Township of Langley, as part of the Railway Crossing Information System project.

As New Year’s Eve approaches, the B.C. government is reminding party-goers who intend to use for-hire vehicles such as limousines and “party buses” to familiarize themselves with the laws and regulations that govern these vehicles, to plan ahead for a safe ride home.
