The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has now completed work on a $5.2-million highway rehabilitation project for highways 10, 15, 91 and 99.

The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone and Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development Peter Fassbender have issued the following statement on Canada’s $81-billion infrastructure funding announcement:

The public engagement sessions for the Highway 1 – 216th interchange project in Langley have concluded, with support for the increased capacity and traffic flow that the future interchange will provide.

Families throughout the province will soon benefit from improved transportation services in their communities, thanks to $14.7 million in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Vancouver Island West school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $57,593 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Bulkley Valley school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $163,737 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Alberni school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $71,717 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Campbell River school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $316,860 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Haida Gwaii school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $149,851 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.
