Summer is here and Robson Square is bustling with family-friendly activities, including artisan markets, free ballroom and salsa dancing and free weekly outdoor movie screenings that begin this evening.
Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, thousands of people and visitors enjoy the Square all year long making it a vibrant public space. The weekly activities listed below are all free and promise something for everyone.
Robson Square Summer Cinema
Enjoy outdoor movie screenings at the Robson Square's rink every Monday evening in July and August, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Summertime Ballroom Dancing on Friday evenings from July 8 to Aug. 26, 8 to 11 p.m. A free lesson from a professional instructor begins at 8 p.m. with showcase performances at 9 and 10 p.m.
Robson Square Artisan Market is open every Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. now until Sept. 18. The market features an ever-changing collection of local artisans, craftspeople and performers. Admission is free. Come down and check out performances by musicians and entertainers, and a concession featuring healthy snacks.
Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square is an annual series of free, outdoor salsa dances every Sunday afternoon in July and August from 3 to 7 p.m. The afternoon kicks off with a free, beginner salsa dance lesson beginning at 3 p.m. The salsa dance performances at 5 p.m. features some of Vancouver's talented salsa dancers.
After the lessons and performances, salsa dancers take centre stage doing what they enjoy most, dancing salsa. People of all ages can join in the fun, celebrating Vancouver's uniqueness as well as its cultural and ethnic diversity.
