The Province has awarded a $1.3-million contract to resurface a section of Bamfield Road and several roads within the community of Bamfield.
The work includes resurfacing a 4.7-kilometre section of Bamfield Road, approximately 90 kilometres west of Port Alberni. The project also includes resurfacing Frigate, Grappler, Pachena and Nuthatch roads in the community of Bamfield. A contract was awarded to Rayner Bracht Construction Ltd. of Port Alberni to carry out the work, which is expected to begin this month and finish in August.
