The Province is relocating the Vancouver Liquor Distribution Branch warehouse. An upgraded facility at a new location will improve distribution and operations, making it more efficient, announced Rich Coleman, Minister of Energy, Mines and Natural Gas and Minister responsible for Liquor.
The current warehouse is located on East Broadway in Vancouver. Government will be posting a Request for Proposals to undertake transportation and logistics studies in the coming weeks. These studies will help determine the best location for the new, modern distribution centre.
A new centre will be a more efficient space for distribution operations. It will include better loading docks and higher ceilings for better inventory control onsite.
The new centre is expected to be up and running within the next two years. No staff will be impacted as a result of this change.
