Bill Bennett, Minister of Energy and Mines, has issued the following statement:

“On Saturday March 15, 2014, a journeyman lineman with McGregor Construction, sustained an injury while working on the Northwest Transmission Line and later died from that injury.

“BC Hydro is co-operating fully with the contractor and WorkSafeBC in the investigation of this very unfortunate incident.

“I wish to offer my sincere condolences to the employee's family and co-workers.”
