The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invites you to attend an open house to provide feedback about proposed boundary changes to Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park in the North Okanagan.

The ministry is applying to BC Parks to adjust the boundary of the park to exclude a 30-metre-wide right-of-way where Cosens Bay Road crosses the park. This adjustment will ensure both park and road users will have safe and reliable access to the park and surrounding area.

Information on the application will be available at the open house. Project staff will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, and collect feedback. For those unable to attend, there will be further opportunities to provide feedback online later this year.

Proposals to amend the boundaries of provincial parks are reviewed under the Provincial

Protected Area Boundary Adjustment Policy, Process and Guidelines, which can be found here:http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/PBAProcess/

Open house:

Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 - 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Vernon/O’Keefe Salon room
Prestige Hotel
4411 32nd Street
Vernon
