The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following an industrial accident in Kamloops on Nov. 25, 2015.
He was Sean Alexander Donetz, aged 45, of Burnaby.
Mr. Donetz was performing cleanup work at his worksite in Kamloops on Nov. 25, 2015, when he fell from a scissor-lift, a distance of about three metres to the concrete below. The fall was witnessed, and 911 called immediately. Mr. Donetz was transported first to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, then later transferred to Kelowna General Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Dec. 1, 2015.
The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafeBC continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Donetz has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
